TRANSPORTATION

The city of Riverside is situated approximately 60 miles east of Los Angeles. It is served by Ontario Airport (ONT), which is a 20-minute ride from downtown Riverside. The Mission Inn offers complimentary shuttle service to Ontario Airport.

Intercontinental travelers will probably find it easier to fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), one of the busiest and most well-connected airports in the world. Upon arrival at LAX there are several transportation options, including car rental, shuttle service, or public transportation. If you are arriving at LAX, it may be somewhat cheaper to take a shuttle, rather than a taxi, to Riverside. You can book a shuttle ride with your credit card on line at supershuttle.com. If you know of someone else arriving near or at the same time, you could share a ride (only $9 for each additional person). It takes approximately one hour and a half to get to Riverside from LAX by car.

If you prefer take public transportation to Riverside, then you would take the FlyAway Bus from LAX to Los Angeles Union Station, and from there take the Metrolink train to downtown Riverside. Trains run in this direction from 12:45pm to 6:35pm and the entire trip will take at least two hours (bus + train). A one-way train ticket to Riverside costs $10 and a FlyAway bus ticket is $4. We can arrange to have you picked up at the Riverside station and taken to your hotel. Please e-mail us at covr@gmail.com if you would like to explore this option.
